The 32nd. annual Ramapo 500 was held July 12 & 13. A group of nine BCH members and alumni met at Ireland's in Sloatsburg, NY. (Doug H. & Barry O. photo) |

The Ramapo 500 is a weekend tour of approximately 250 miles per day. It is one of the best organized events in the country, attracting as many as 400 participants. There's a lot of water features and it wasn't long til we crossed the Wanaque Resevoir dam. |

Registration includes Saturday dinner, prizes, patch & pin, camping, entertainment, Sunday breakfast, and wonderful roads mostly in the Catskills, but sometimes as far north as the Adirondack's. This tour is billed as "Technically Challenging", through "roads less traveled". It's not for everyone. Two years ago many roads were washed out and pocked with muddy ruts. This year there was an inordinate amount of freshly oiled/stoned roads. But with moderate experience, it doesn't get any better than 500 miles of twisty, scenic, back roads! |

| Sunday June 29 was the annual Penn-Del Poker Run, better known as Camp Joy. They say the early bird catches the worm so a couple of BCH members were out the gate even before the official start time, beating the traffic, the heat and the threat of storms. |  |

Bucks County has River Road, Covered Bridges and nice roads, but Chester County has some VERY nice roads, as well. |

The Webmaster hopes not to open a can of worms but he thinks quite frankly, when it comes to countryside, which is more open, rolling hills, and roads that go longer between stop signs, those folks in Chester County have it a little better than Bucks (and they do have some covered bridges too!). |

Old Towne Fredericksburg was a must see. Just another quaint shopping district but if the guys expected their wives to sit quiet through the battlefields, it had to be done. ;-) |

Luminaries had been set-up at the Fredericksburg National Cemetary so we returned later that night. Boy Scouts lit 15,300 candles to represent each of the soldiers buried there. The main cemetery is atop a hill and it's quite breathtaking as you crest the hill and see them. |

Hundreds of Thousands of bikes will roll over the Memorial Bridge to the National Mall, but there are two significant parades which converge at the Pentagon from two area dealers, this photo from the Fairfax dealer. |

They also toured the Wauwatosa Powertrain Operations, one of three manufacturing plants not far from the Milwaukee offices. The former propeller plant also houses a gift shop which Rob is screaming through on the bike he hijacked. |

The authorities released Rob after he promised not to ride any more scooters in the plant and ordered him to church to confess. Well, the stained glass windows look like a church but I guess the mugs of beer gave away the fact they were visiting the Miller Brewery. |

Happy New Year! What did you do the first day of 2008? Rob McC. talked. Nothing new about that, huh. John W. writes; "Notice that poor guy standing there wondering, does this guy ever take a breath. Rob somehow managed to devour a box of donuts and talk, and talk, and talk". The towel? Rob claims his rainsuit leaked, but rumor has it Rob took a tip from Astronaut Lisa Nowak, so he gets more talking time. (John W. photo) |

48 bikes that made the 28 mile 50 minute ride. The ride covered a lot of 517 and 613. The outside track was a good lane to be in, the inside track was either puddled, or gravel covered. Plenty of people cheered the riders as we left the firehouse. Not that many people to cheer the riders during the ride. (John W. photo) |

A local newspaper photographer took this picture. The ride finished at the start point. Chili, hot dogs and root beer were, as always, the only items on the menu. Rob got a trophy (a hot dog roll) for the rider that traveled the greatest distance (105 miles). Later that day, Kathy W-H rode with some clubs in Montgomery County. There are 15 clubs that all communicate to coordinate events. Kathy writes; "I was invited by my friend Larry Steinhouse, the one we were voting for his girlfriend's video. He is thinking of becoming a BCHOG member. | What a miserable season it's been for the Polar Bears. While it's been unseasonably mild so far, few weekends have been sans precipitation. Here at SweetWater Casino, members return to their bikes for another soaking trip home. |  |

Saturday December 22 was Brian's annual Customer Appreciation Day. Bucks HOG members were staffing the bake sale. |

And you could take one of Mouse's famous Butter Cakes, or other goodies, right over to the MDA gift wrap table to present a perfect gift. |

So was Ken S. getting an early gift. He shopped the Brian's H-D toy store and picked out an engine upgrade and was able to watch the entire process right on the floor! |
